The Minister of Research and Higher Education Tora Aasland and the recepients of the prestigious Abel Award, John Griggs Thompson and Jacques Tits, together do the official ribbon cutting.

In November, management decided to restructure the SIMTANO, AS organization, to include only on-call, part time consultants. The only exception to this rule is B. H.Skogvold at the Trondheim office. This decision was approved by the Board on December 14. The reorganization was done to put SIMTANO in an even better position to serve its customers with the best experts at all times.
